Everybody’s Working for the Weekend by Loverboy

August 31, 2008 - 9:10 pm No Comments

It’s Labor Day weekend, so I finally got some off. I’ve been working everyday (weekends included) since the 4th of July holiday. I can’t believe it’s already September. Now as for this song, I’m sure I heard it watching the movie Top Gun. It was also an SNL sketch with the late Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze auditioning to be Chippendales dancers.

Afraid by Nelly Furtado

Ego by The Sounds

Another Swedish punk rock band, The Sounds. The introduction for this song is tight. If it sounds familar, the guy who produced the album was also the producer of The Killer’s Hot Fuss album. I can’t believe that this song isn’t a single. The two songs that were singles from the album were “Painted By Numbers” and “Tony the Beat” are pretty good too.

Dead Disco by Metric

Been constantly tired, but it’s the good tiredness. I do plan to go on a vacation next month though, I know I don’t update as much but I’m still dancing to disco. I heard these guys on Pandora. There’s talk that Pandora might be forced to shut down due to the fact that the RIAA wants more royalty for streaming music. That would suck. Anyway, this song is nice, they’re Canadian. Have a listen.
